What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address, username, and any profile information you choose to provide. When you use Koriander, we store the recipes you create, your meal plans, shopping lists, meal logs, and preferences.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Koriander service to you. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. We do not run ads.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely in our database. Uploaded photos are stored on Amazon S3. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. See Amazon's privacy policy for details on how they handle stored data.

Third-party services

We use Anthropic's Claude to process images (such as scanning recipes from photos) and to power AI-assisted features. When you use these features, relevant data (such as an uploaded image) is sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details. No data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Sharing

Recipes you mark as public are visible to other users. Shopping lists and meal plans you share are visible to invited members. Everything else is private by default.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
